SOCIAL JUSTICE INNOVATION INSTITUTE

Prevailing student affairs practices are insufficient to advance social justice within and beyond our colleges and universities. Our society is also unprepared to address the complex ecological, economic, and political issues that threaten our health, communal prosperity, and democratic institutions. All of these challenges require student affairs professionals to deploy more inclusive and creative decision-making processes in order to reform institutions and prepare students to develop innovative solutions to our most entrenched social issues.

The Social Justice Innovation Institute combines social justice concepts and applications with innovation literature and practice to develop a highly interactive training for social justice innovation that can be adapted to drive change at your institution. We help participants identify and leverage their institution's strengths to develop innovative frameworks, strategies, policies, and programs to address issues of access, diversity, inclusion, equity, and social justice. In order to address these issues effectively, institutions must break through their knowledge silos and harness the power of their collaborative networks. We can only unlock our collective genius when these networks are representative of the diverse array of people and ideas that comprise our campus communities.
